Who we are

quokid is operated by Chris Winfield-Blum, trading as Quokid (ABN 22 898 520 861), of 2 Fisher Place, Mawson Lakes SA 5095, Australia.

What a cookie is

A cookie is a small file a site stores on your device so it can remember something on a later visit.

The cookie this site sets

When you make a choice on the cookie banner, we store it in a cookie named wbsc_preferences. That cookie remembers whether you allowed statistics or marketing cookies. The site needs it to honour your choice. It is not used for advertising.

If someone logs in to the website admin, WordPress sets its own sign-in cookies. Ordinary visitors are not asked to log in.

Analytics, without a cookie

We count visits with analytics that is part of this website. It does not set a cookie, and it does not send the information to an advertising network.

It records pages viewed, the referring site, campaign links, device type, browser, operating system, and an approximate country and city from the IP address. We store a hash of the IP address and browser, not the IP address itself.

The banner has a Statistics category so that if we add an optional statistics cookie later, it stays off until you allow it. We do not set a statistics cookie today.

Marketing

We do not set marketing cookies today, and we do not load advertising pixels. The banner has a Marketing category. If we add any of those cookies later, they will run only after you turn that category on.

How to choose

Use the cookie banner to accept, reject, or set your preferences. You can change that choice at any time from the banner.

You can also control cookies in your browser. If you block the preference cookie, we cannot remember your choice, so the banner will ask again.

The app

The quokid app keeps a grown-up signed in with its own session cookie. That cookie is essential to the app and is described in the app privacy policy.
