Terms of use

These terms cover the quokid website. The app, where a grown-up creates an account and a child practises, has its own terms.

Last updated 30 October 2026

Who we are

quokid is operated by Chris Winfield-Blum, trading as Quokid (ABN 22 898 520 861), of 2 Fisher Place, Mawson Lakes SA 5095, Australia.

The website is quokid.com. The app is app.quokid.com. Questions about these terms go to [email protected].

These terms, and the ones for the app

These terms apply when you browse the website, read an article, send a message, or join the weekly email.

Creating an account, adding a child, and using the activities are covered by the app terms and the app privacy policy. If the two sets of terms ever disagree about the app, the app terms win for the app.

Using the website

You may use the website to learn about quokid and to contact us. You do not need an account to read it.

The website is written for grown-ups. It is not a place for a child to sign up.

Articles and learning ideas

Articles and tips are general ideas for learning at home. They are not a lesson plan, a school report, or professional advice, and they are not a promise that a child will reach a particular result.

We own the writing, the quokka, and the other artwork on the site, unless a page says otherwise. You may share a link. Please do not copy the articles or the artwork onto another site.

The contact form and the weekly email

The contact form asks for your name, email address, a topic, and your message, so we can reply. One topic is schools and teachers. Writing to us about a class does not create a school account. The app is for a parent or legal guardian.

The footer form takes an email address for one learning idea a week. You can stop those emails by writing to [email protected].

Acceptable use

Do not misuse the website. That includes trying to break it, scraping it in a way that overloads it, sending unlawful or harmful material through a form, or pretending a message is from someone else.

Our responsibility

You have rights under the Australian Consumer Law, and these terms do not take them away.

The website is information. To the extent the law allows, we are not responsible for a decision you make only from an article, or for a site we link to.

We do not exclude liability for anything the law says we cannot exclude.

Changes

We may update these terms. The date at the top will change when we do. If you keep using the website after that, the new terms apply.

Law

These terms are governed by the laws of South Australia, Australia. The courts of South Australia can hear disputes about them.

If you live somewhere else, you may also have rights under the law of that place. These terms do not take those rights away.
